The Academy Assembly, the highest body of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic responsible for the highest priority decisions related to the AS CR, held its XXXIV Meeting in the Municipal House in Vinohrady on March 24, 2009.
The XXXIV Session of the Academy Assembly of the AS CR took place on March 24, 2009 in Prague. New members of the Academy Council of the AS CR and of the Council for Sciences were elected. The following day, the new president professor Jiří Drahoš took up his office.
