Dear readers,

given the new concept of official periodicals, the Academy Council of the CAS has decided to discontinue the publication of the Academic bulletin in its printed form. The change also affects the website abicko.avcr.cz, which is no longer updated, but which continues to provide access to the archive of back issues of the Academic bulletin (1990–2016). The current news coverage provided by the editorial team in recent years can now be found on the main website of the Czech Academy of Sciences, http://www.avcr.cz/en.
